As much as Stewart and Sting are in my best regards as world class musicians, I believe that if there was a true genius in The Police, it was Andy. He came up with lines I don't think any other guitarist (save maybe for guys like Fripp or Holdsworth) could approximate to, even in the most feverish of their dreams.

You can find a live concert from 1979 or 1980. Type in Palladium or the police and you should be able to find it. With only two albums to their name they had to improvise. So lonely is six minutes long!
